Will my Credit/Debit card details be secure with Art-e-World Ltd?
Credit/Debit card transactions are handled by Paypal. We do not store
your card details at all. When you make a purchase you will automatically
be passed onto Paypal to complete the transaction. They use the latest
technology to ensure that your details are secure when you make
a payment. This is their security statement:
Transaction security
All transaction information passed between merchant sites and the
Paypal Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No
cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages
sent to your servers from Paypal are signed using MD5 hashing to
prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge
that nothing you pass to the Paypal servers can be examined, used
or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive
information.
Encryption and Data Storage
Once on our systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same
internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by,
among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on
state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those
used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all
but impossible to extract. The data we hold is extremely secure
and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities
to ensure it remains so.
Paypal are one of the UK’s leading Internet Payment Service
Providers, giving you confidence to buy safely and securely online.
Which methods of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, International Maestro and Non-UK Electron.
We also accept debit cards – Visa Debit (including UK Electron),
Maestro and Solo. A handling charge of 2% will be added to transactions
paid by credit card. We accept cheques and postal orders – made
payable to Art-e-World Ltd. Please bear in mind that cheques and postal
orders need a minimum of three working days to clear through the bank
before your artwork can be despatched or your images can be approved
to our website.
How much do you charge for delivery?
The delivery charge is based on the weight and the size of the artwork,
and starts from £7.40. Delivery is arranged between the Customer
and the Artist.
What materials do you use when packaging my item?
We recommend that the Artists use high quality packaging materials
such as various thicknesses of bubble wrap, loose fill polystyrene
chips, corner protectors, single and double wall corrugated card,
telescopic card packaging, and – depending on the nature and
size of the artwork – wooden crate packaging. We also recommend
that our Artists fully meet, if not exceed, the guidelines set out
by the courier company they use to send out their Artwork.
Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire? As a new business, we
want to ensure that we listen to our public and their needs. It
may be that you are completely satisfied with our service and hence
do not wish to complete a questionnaire. All we would ask in this
instance is that you tick the box to indicate that you are completely
satisfied. However, if you any have ideas as to how we might improve
our service, please send them in. We want to make your buying experience
a pleasurable one so that you will come back to us and recommend
us to your friends and colleagues.
How quickly will I receive my order? Once the transaction has been
made you will be contacted by the Artist, who will agree with you
a suitable delivery date. You should allow up to seven working days
for delivery in the UK and 28 days for international deliveries.
Can I collect the artwork personally?
Yes if you wish. This can be arranged between you and the Artist.
If you do decide to collect the goods you will be refunded shipping
costs after we have received confirmation from the Artist that the
artwork has been collected. It is your responsibility
to check that your car insurance includes cover for collecting such
goods? The Artist will not be held responsible for any damage
which might occur during transportation, and you will waiver any rights
to a refund for such damage. The goods become your property and your
responsibility as soon as they are in your hands.
What happens if I don't like the picture and want to return it?
If for any reason the artwork you order from Art-e-World Ltd does
not meet your expectations, please notify the Artist and us within
seven days of receipt (this is known as the "cooling off period"
and is your statutory right). You must return the artwork to the
Artist, undamaged and in its original condition, within 14 days
of receipt. Once the artist has confirmed to Art-e-World Ltd that
the artwork has been received in the same condition in which it
was sent, your card will be refunded for the full cost of the artwork
less all shipping and insurance costs.

How can I help Art-e-World Ltd?
There are a number of ways. You can pass our name and contact details
to your friends. Contact us via email and ask us to send you our link
so that you can advertise us on your website. Get your school, college,
university or company to sponsor future events. If you have direct
or indirect contact with an artistic person whom you feel would benefit
from getting in touch with us then please let us know. If they are
shy we will make every effort to help them come on board. We know
some artists really do struggle in this area and we are sensitive
to that and will do all we can to help them make the most of the opportunities
we can give them.
Are your artists treated fairly?
Of course! We want the very best for our artists. If they get through
the selection process then we are looking to invest time and effort
with them to discuss various options, ideas, and future prospects.
It’s not just about signing them up and letting them get on
with it. We want our artists to feel as though they really belong
here at Art-e-World.
How do you see yourselves as any different to other Art galleries?
We are driven by real enthusiasm for what we do. For us, this business
is not about making money. We have a passion for art, and our desire
is to nurture and encourage fresh, new talent and to see it grow
and develop from mere potential to realising dreams. This is why
we have galleries to showcase art produced by all ages – from
children to adults, amateurs to professionals – and it’s
not all for sale; some of it is there simply to be enjoyed.
We don’t just limit ourselves to paint or to one or two other
mediums; we want to embrace all forms of art. We have a number of
galleries in which to browse, so whatever your taste, and whatever
your price range, you are sure to find something at Art-e-World
which will appeal to you.
How do you keep your prices down?
This is a fine balancing act – of time, creativity and materials.
We make sure that the Artist gets a fair price for their time and
their work, and you get great value for money!
Why does the price vary so much?
Some artwork takes a great deal of time to produce and, just as
you expect to be rewarded fairly for the time you spend working, so
do our artists. Materials vary a great deal in price, and this also
needs to be reflected in the final price of the work. We hope at some
point to provide a way for you to obtain insight into how an artist
creates a piece from start to finish, so that you can appreciate some
of the processes involved in creating your artwork.
